Luxe Box - April

*****DON'T FORGET TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY HERE!!*****

Last week, I received my first Luxe Box.  It seemed like I waited forever.  They charge you one month behind, so I payed at the beginning of March and it didn't come until the last day of April.  That's the only thing I don't like, is that they charge you that far ahead.  So, if I quit in September, I should still get an October box.  I can just see it getting messed up, does anyone have any experience with this?

This is what the box looks like, it slides out.  Really cute but not very sturdy.  I'll probably keep some to use for gifts.  Jewelry gifts would be really nice in these boxes!
I thought it was so cute that the label had my name on it:
This is what the contents looked.  I was actually quite happy with the box I received.  They do this first in line thing, that I abhor!  People crash the site trying to reserve a product.  There was such a mess with it this month, I won't go into it..I just wish they didn't do it.  I did get a chance to reserve a product (eventually) and I chose the Essie.  I debated because I was worried about the colour I'd get. My second choice was the leave in conditioner..which I got anyways!
This is the colour I received. A full size bottle of She's Picture Perfect from the Sure Shot collection. It says it retails for $8 but the cheapest I've ever seen it was at Walmart for 8.98 or whatever. Too bad I just bought the whole collection a month or two back. (sigh).  If anyone is interested in swapping this colour, let me know!  It really is pretty...but I'll never go through 2 bottles!
The next product is Bobos Remi leave-in conditioner.   It is formulated with macadamia oil, panthenol and jojoba oil.  Full size is 10oz for $10 and this is 2.7oz. I'm really excited to try a leave in conditioner.  I've never used one. I have very fine and coarse hair if that makes sense.  I can't just wash and leave my hair to air dry because it looks like I stuck it in a socket. This is why I love getting hair samples in my boxes.  I'm desperate for something really good!  It smells really nice and salon-y!
Next is the Yves Rocher gentle makeup remover for sensitive eyes.  I'm really happy it's for sensitive eyes. My eyes are always watering and I can't go in sunshine without sunglasses.  I'm always happy to try a new makeup remover..it's one of the most important things in any girls beauty arsenal!  Yves Rocher is actually a mail order company.  I know this because my mom was obsessed with it.  She would order things monthly and she'd get all these free things..she just loved it.  I remember the quality being really good.  Costs were great, free shipping maybe?  There was always tons of full size and sample size freebies.  Seeing this product is going to make me go look them up and try them myself! This bottle is 50ml and the full size bottle is 125 ml retailing for $6.
Last was a Pantene shampoo and conditioner.  A lot of people got upset about this one.  I'm pretty easy going.  I'm so tired of buying different shampoos and poor results that getting a sample is exciting for me.  The sample is a decent size, unlike some of the one time use sample packets that come.  The smell was a bit overwhelming when I opened my box.  It's not a bad smell at all.  They're supposed to be a weightless nourishment and silicone free. The shampoo has a really nice scent.  The conditioner smells like conditioner and that's the one that's a bit overpowering. Samples are 50ml sizes and full size are 375ml retailing for $6 each.

I'm not sure why the product needed a special insert. The front says, "You are invited! New product feedback" but there's nothing really to feedback?  Anyone else confused?  The card does say that you should notice a difference after just one use. I guess we'll see. ;)

What did you think of your luxe box?  I hope you're having a great weekend!

  2. yes I think Essie is usually priced at 9-10 dollars, not 8. Usually beauty boxes inflate the value of their products, not underestimate it! how odd.

  4. This box is so good!! I used to be subscribed to loose button but stopped because their boxes sucked and Glymm was better. Now Glymm is the worst beauty box out there in my opinion and loose button and glossy box are so much better. If I didn't have so many purple nail polishes like that already I would definitely swap with you.

    1. Yes, Glymm hasn't been wowing me but it's not terrible. Do you sub to BB5? Man, was THAT box a sad one this month. :`( Glossybox is the best!! I'm so happy with it! How do you organize your polishes, Chelsey? You should do a post about that!

  5. Really great review! I tried the Pantene out - not bad, but nothing too special in my opinion. Just kind of like another shampoo (I guess I'm picky about hair products!) The Remi looks interesting!
