Glossybox - November Edition

Hello girls!!! We're getting so close to Christmas, is everyone excited?!  I'm still working on finishing up posting about my last couple November boxes.  NONE of my December boxes have come in yet...not even my Julep!! Well, I did receive my add ons today, but that will be posted with the rest of the December box.  It's exciting!

For November, Glossybox sent us our box as if it was our Christmas box.  Of course, the reason for this is because they ship late in the month.  Glossybox is the most expensive subscription at $21, but it's one I enjoy getting.  It doesn't generally contain higher end products, but it is one that's fun to receive strictly for the variety!  If it's in your budget, why not!

Since, this was the first month on the price increase, we were all wondering what it would entail. I'm not sure there was any more products than before but there was something new.  A magazine. It's 23 pages and contains things such as Trends, International Beauty, Star Style and even a Glossy member of the month. It's kind of neat and a nice addition to the box.

When you take your lid off your November box you are greeted with the festive red and white theme! Such a sweet touch, no?

Curel Hand & Cuticle Therapy Cream.  Cream soothes even the driest hands on contact and continues to moisturize even through repeated hand washing for all day softness.  This was a bonus item in our box.  I actually think it's genius to put in at this time of year.  We all live in colder climates, some of us colder than others (Winnipeg has been -30 with windchill lately!) and skin dries up pretty fast!  My first impression is that this is a good drugstore brand.  I'll probably toss it in my purse! My bottle came a bit smashed up...boo but it's really not that big a deal.

This is a full size item retailing $3.99 for 100ml.

Vita Bath Moisturizing Bath & Shower Gelée. This is a paraben and sulfate free product which is really important to a lot of people.  This formula uses high quality ingredients and rich fragrances for an at home spa experience.  The scent I received is Fresh Citrus Twist. It definitely smells citrusy, but it also has an undertone of that shampoo smell.  We'll see how it goes when I try it out in the shower.  I've never heard of the brand, have you?

This is a full size item retailing $18.00 for 170g.

Nexxus Salon Hair Care: Hydration Kit.  This is a set that I'm REALLY looking forward to trying. It contains Therappe Shampoo and Humectress Conditioner.  Of course all shampoos promise us the be all, end all but not many actually deliver.  Through beauty boxes I've tried many shampoos.  As a matter of fact I'm going through all of them now..there's been a lot of misses.  But there's a couple that I've really enjoyed!  I also think that these were really generous samples compared to foil packets or the shameful Aveda samples in October's topbox. Of note: Nexxus doesn't test on animals.

Shampoo retails $9.99 for 400 mL and Conditioner retails $14.99 for 400 mL.  Sample sizes are both 89 mL and are valued at $2.22 and $3.34 respectively.

Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolor Holiday Shades.  I received this really pretty purple colour in Here We Kome A-Karoling.  I'm really excited that I received a purple because I've seen enough of gold explosions. :P I actually like the Nicole by OPI formulas so I was happy to receive this as well. It's nice that it's a newer collection and Christmas themed.

This is a full size item retailing $10.99.

Bottom of bottle.

It was difficult to get a good picture of it, but I think this one turned out pretty good.  What do you think of the colour?

Kryolan for Glossybox Blusher.  The colour I received is Glossy Rosewood even though the information packet lists it as Glossy Pink.  I haven't tested the colour out yet, so I can't tell you if I love it.  But, I am really happy to get it because blush is quickly becoming one of my top 3 products I must use daily.  I would have never thought so before...but as I get older...yes!  I also really love that GB is partnering with Kryolan to make their own signature products.  I think it's so cute!

This is a full size item valued at $16.73.

Bottom of packaging.  I am pretty sure when GB makes and exclusive products all Glossies around the world receive it.

Here is the open compact.  It was really difficult to get an accurate picture of the colour.  But, this is pretty darn close! Keep in mind, I take my photos in the evenings and it's already dark here at 430pm!  I really like it and look forward to using it after I finish up the other 30 blushes I have. :P

Maybelline MNY My Gloss.  It says on the product card that Maybelline MNY provides fashionistas around the world with sensational  products in trendy colours.  Now, this is a bit of a scary looking product. At first glance you think how trendy do you have to be to wear BLUE gloss?!  I kind of thought of it that it's probably sheerer on the lips after you put it on than what it looks like.  I should have tested it for you and I'm sorry that I haven't.  I haven't even tried it on my lips yet but I'm sure you're all curious so I will!  What are your initial thoughts?

If you are someone that reads my posts on Facebook on various groups you know how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Maybelline Colorsensational lipsticks.  I wish they would put those in beauty boxes because I'm sure if you all tried it you'd love it!  Reviews of that to come as well! ;)

This is a full size item retailing for $7.49.

Here is the swatch.  As you can see the base is pretty sheer and the sparkles are blue toned.  This could look interesting! I'm glad I received something a little different because I already have 1000 lip glosses of similar variety. :P

The last item in the box was a bonus item.  It's a loyalty card for Über.  I had never heard of this before. It's a company with tan, hair, body and face care products of their own brand. The products look high end and 50% off sounds really great.  Unfortunately, I'm having a bit of trouble navigating the site and figuring out what the prices are or even where there is a cart!  I'll look around a bit more again at some point soon.

EDIT: I found a Canadian link HERE it answers all my above questions!!  Their is also a Polish site, cool..my native land! So, now I'm excited to use the card.  They even have permanent hair colour remover with no bleach...interesting, right?!

I love that we got a variety from every department! Haircare, skincare, body, nails and makeup!  That makes a box so fun! I know Glossybox isn't for everyone but it's one that I really enjoy because it feels like a little present every month.  I avoid spoilers like the plague because I just love being surprised!

Total value of November Glossybox is $62.76 not including the loyalty card.  I think that's pretty decent! 5/6 of the products were full sized! Nice!

There yo have it! Did you enjoy this months Glossybox?

  1. They pulled together a really good box even if it's drug store items. I like the idea of the blush, I know the lip stick from another month is one of my faves - it's like the perfect nude pink. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Great review, as always, Aleksandra!! Vitabath is a decent brand that's been around forever. I worked as a cosmetician at SDM for 7 years (7 years ago) and they sold it in my store the whole time. The products have evolved into better than they were, obviously, but it's always been decent! :)
I love the kryolan blush...I've used it every day since I got it and its a great colour. I find it fades away quicker than my previous blush though... :(
I received yet another gold sparkly shimmery colour; that's my third for november. Oh well! Beggers can't be choosers, right?
I loved this box...I honestly can say that I am thoroughly impressed. Not bad for $21! :)

    1. Thank you Therese! I didn't know that about Vitabath. I can't think of it! Wow, you worked there for 7 years, that's amazing!

Too bad that it fades fast. Have you used the Pandora blush? It's so amazing and I can't get enough of it. I use it everyday. I will be repurchasing another!

Bummer that you got another gold. I'm actually getting tired of the "they're real" samples and I adore benefit and haven't even tried this particular mascara. I'm just over cautious on opening mascara if I know I won't be using it right away.

I was happy with this box as well! Worth the price for me!
